Puppy Policy

All our breeding dogs are eye and hearing tested, hip scored and DNA tested Normal for CEA, CL and TNS. We will only use stud dogs that have been hip scored, eye tested and DNA tested Normal for CEA.

Our puppies are reared in the home and well socialised to give them the best possible start in life.

All our puppies are Kennel Club Registered, eye and hearing tested and insured. They will also be microchipped before leaving for their new homes. Pedigrees will be endorsed "Progeny not eligible for Registration" and "Not eligible for export pedigree". These are to protect the puppies and the future of the breed. The breeding restriction will be lifted on production of an adult eye certificate and below average hip score.

If you are interested in having a puppy from us, please send an email in the first instance telling us a bit about yourselves, your home and garden, work commitments and what sort of home you can offer. If you haven't got the time to do this, then you haven't got the time for a Border Collie. I need to know something about you, before discussing the possibility of you having one of our puppies.

A lot of time and commitment has been put into rearing and socialising our puppies and we only want the best for them so please do not be offended if we ask you lots of questions.

We provide a life long commitment to all the puppies we breed, and ask if you are no longer able to keep the dog for whatever reason that you contact us first.

We only breed occasionally, usually only when we want a puppy for ourselves, so you may have to wait over a year for your Elthea puppy.

We have a yahoogroup for the owners of our puppies which we ask you to join. It's a great way of keeping in touch with us and sharing news, stories and photos of your dogs. The owners of stud dogs we have used are also members.
